As I said earlier Gmail has updated there buttons, they are very shiny now. But the update doesn’t ends there.

The labels dropdown menu is improved as well, instead of having list of labels twice in same dropdown menu for Assigning or Moving an email’s label, you have two lists, one for Moving Label and one for Assigning a new Label.

If you have a long list of labels (like I have) you will also appreciate the new search/auto-complete label feature integrated into these label’s dropdowns.

<hr style="border: 1px solid #cccccc; width: 100%; color: #ffffff;" noshade="noshade" />

<img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-527" style="border:1px solid #CCCCCC;" title="pdf_sm" src="http://blog.skdev.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/pdf_sm.jpg" alt="pdf_sm" hspace="10" width="100" height="80" />Fast PDF Previews
This is another great new feature in Gmail, I send and receive many receipts, quotations & documents via Gmail, everytime for finding one particular file I had to open many (similar subjects and file names, just date and receiver is usually different) but now I have ability to view PDF without downloading it. You do have to login to Google Docs but it doesn’t saves the document on your Google Docs account. And it’s pretty quick too. Moreover it doesn’t makes your Firefox heavy as an elephant like the default Adobe Reader Plugin does.

<hr style="border: 1px solid #cccccc; width: 100%; color: #ffffff;" noshade="noshade" />

Here is what Google writes on their what’s new page:

Labels: auto-complete and “move to”

The buttons and menus at the top of your inbox look a bit different: there’s a new “Labels” button that makes labeling messages even easier. Turn on keyboard shortcuts and hit “L” to bring up your labels, and auto-complete will take it from there. Use the “Move to” button to label and archive in just one step — just like you would with a folder. Learn more

Fast PDF previews

Now you can preview PDFs right in your browser without waiting for them to download and open in another application. Just click the “View” link next to any .pdf attachments you receive.
