As I said earlier Gmail has updated there buttons, they are very shiny now. But the update doesn’t ends there.

The labels dropdown menu is improved as well, instead of having list of labels twice in same dropdown menu for Assigning or Moving an email’s label, you have two lists, one for Moving Label and one for Assigning a new Label.

If you have a long list of labels (like I have) you will also appreciate the new search/auto-complete label feature integrated into these label’s dropdowns.

<hr style="border: 1px solid #cccccc; width: 100%; color: #ffffff;" noshade="noshade" />

<img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-527" style="border:1px solid #CCCCCC;" title="pdf_sm" src="http://blog.skdev.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/pdf_sm.jpg" alt="pdf_sm" hspace="10" width="100" height="80" />Fast PDF Previews
This is another great new feature in Gmail, I send and receive many receipts, quotations & documents via Gmail, everytime for finding one particular file I had to open many (similar subjects and file names, just date and receiver is usually different) but now I have ability to view PDF without downloading it. You do have to login to Google Docs but it doesn’t saves the document on your Google Docs account. And it’s pretty quick too. Moreover it doesn’t makes your Firefox heavy as an elephant like the default Adobe Reader Plugin does.

<hr style="border: 1px solid #cccccc; width: 100%; color: #ffffff;" noshade="noshade" />

Here is what Google writes on their what’s new page:

Labels: auto-complete and “move to”

The buttons and menus at the top of your inbox look a bit different: there’s a new “Labels” button that makes labeling messages even easier. Turn on keyboard shortcuts and hit “L” to bring up your labels, and auto-complete will take it from there. Use the “Move to” button to label and archive in just one step — just like you would with a folder. Learn more

Fast PDF previews

Now you can preview PDFs right in your browser without waiting for them to download and open in another application. Just click the “View” link next to any .pdf attachments you receive.

For example someone who uses internet from home and office would want to keep his bookmarks synched, so he can simply export all his bookmarks from his home or work using the simple features given in every browser, and import all of them at once in just 2 clicks!

although the name says “Easy” but it was not as easy as it sounds , well actually the development part was easy but since I am not a designer so the very simple design part was pretty ermm painful!

It allowed it’s members to upload / create their bookmarks and organize them into categories or however they want, it also let them choose if they want them to be public or private, not only that but they can specify their username or password hints with each link if they want.. like if you have an account with gmail.com you can add a link with your username and password’s hint, cool right..? erm no? okay ;d

Members can also use their XML feeds into any software they want for example they can use Mozilla Firefox Live Bookmark facility to see all their ez4u.net‘s bookmark in Firefox Bookmark menu.. cool? *phew*

Well that’s not it, Members can also share links between them by using the Messages section, they can send their links to some other user on ez4u OR they can send those links to any email id they want..!

Members can also customize their account by options like “Google search bar”, “Open links in new window”, “Javascript mouseover descriptions”, “Publicly visible account”, “Rss Feeds”, etc etc.. they can also fill their profile which will be only visible if their account is Publicly visible!

Admin have access to the stats and member’s profile, so that if a user forgets his password and email id he can reset it for him.. *if user remembers his email and username he can use the forget password utility him/herself*.

2Site.Com’s offers a way to cut it to a short url such as 2Site.com/xbcasd OR 2Site.com/joe, which wont cut in emails and wont look ugly on message boards.

It wasn’t my first project on short-url scripts, before that there were two different sites with minimal features like they didn’t have Member Registration, and Admin Panels!

1) ZoneURL.Com – It’s gone now.
2) ZeroURL.Com – It’s up and working!
3) 2Site.Com – You are reading it’s review, it’s up, its working and it has more features than the other 2!

2Site offers its users to shorten there ugly and long url which they can use anywhere they want, if its legal i.e., the url’s that 2Site will give to you won’t expire ever.. so it’s safe to give these url’s to anyone and everyone, at anytime you want to without fearing that it will be dead by now!

It’s useful for so many reasons,

1) To cut the long url’s short and make them look pretty
2) To hide your affiliate links!, visitors/friends often try not to visit affiliate links, if you have a 2Site address, the visitor will never know he is visiting your affiliate
3) After registering you can keep track of click through, make custom aliases for your URL’s, Edit your existing URL’s and alot more!
4) Since you can edit your url’s after you register it means you can change as many hosts as you want and you won’t have to tell your users about your new web host each time, you can simply edit your 2Site’s url and it will be linked to the new host!
5) If your host does not provide you with visitor counter you can use the free counter available to registered users to see how much hits your links are getting!!

It has an admin panel where admin can check all registered users, their Short Url’s, aliases and edit/block/delete them as required, admin can also setup different ads to show on the site.

Admins can blacklist spammer IP’s, URL’s, Email’s and Domain’s if they want.. or if the are creating problems.. plus there is one hidden feature, when a registered member uses Tell-A-Friend section, his count is increased on the admin panel, it was done so that if clients wants to give some incentives for publicity he can use that count to check the top referrers!
